Unitree Dog Rental & Usage

Unitree Dog Rental & Usage

We are excited to let you know that your rental equipment has been shipped today. The shipment will arrive in a secure hard travel case sealed with zip-ties for added protection. Please review the following important details to ensure a smooth process:

  1. Inspection Upon Receipt: Check the contents of the shipment as soon as possible. If anything is missing or seems incorrect, please contact me immediately by replying to this email or giving me a call.

  2. App and Manuals:

    • AP Mode: Ensure your phone is connected directly to the robot's local Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., Go2_XXXX). You must turn off Cellular Data on your iPhone to prevent it from dropping the connection because the robot's Wi-Fi has no internet.
    • Download the app required for operation here: Unitree App
    • Two paper manuals are included in the case, and digital copies are also attached for your convenience. Please note that the latest firmware is installed, offering features not covered in the manuals.
  3. The Dog is Bound Follow the instructions provided for assistance.

To get started with your Unitree Go2 Pro Quadruped Robot (Dog) Rental you need to download the Unitree Go 2 App and set up an account.
    Password: dogbonez
  4. Return Shipping: A return shipping label is included. When returning the case, ensure the old label is removed or covered to avoid any scanning issues with UPS. Additionally, use the provided zip-ties to seal the case securely after repacking the equipment.

  5. Packing: Repacking the equipment into the case can be tricky. To help, we've included a reference photo of the correct layout. Please pay close attention to the positioning, particularly how the DOG is secured with the strap.

Lastly, we want to point out that one SPARE foot is missing, which you might notice during inspection.  The DOG has 4 feet installed and 3-4 spare feet.

Thank you for renting with us. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Key Troubleshooting Steps for iOS:
  • Turn Off Private Wi-Fi Address: In iOS Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the 'i' icon next to the robot's network and turn OFF "Private Wi-Fi Address," which can prevent connection.
  • Manage Network Switching: Ensure your iPhone is connected directly to the Unitree robot's Wi-Fi. Sometimes, iPhone tries to switch to a network with internet, ignoring the non-internet robot network.
  • Bluetooth Unbind/Rebind: In iOS Bluetooth settings, "forget" or unpair the device, then restart the app to create a fresh binding.
  • Unbind in App & Re-bind: If the app is stuck at the connection screen, go into the Unitree Go app and unbind the dog before attempting to reconnect.
  • Restart Everything: Turn off the robot, close the app completely (swipe it away), and restart your phone.
